An illegal cellphone dealer, who tried to sell his stolen phones on Black Friday, was nabbed by wakker cops at Nyanga Junction on Friday.
Acting Manenberg station commander, Colonel Sanele Zama, says instead of reaping the benefits of festive season specials, the dom dealer spent the weekend in a holding cell after he was found with nine stolen phones.
“During our first festive season operation, a 20-year-old male foreign national was arrested for being in
possession of stolen property.

“He was caught on Friday morning when the Nyanga Junction armed
Tactical Response Unit and police had high visibility patrols on the transport interchange hub.
“The team spotted a suspicious
person on the upper deck of the Junction and as they approached him, he tried to evade them.
“He was cornered and a search was conducted where nine cellphones were seized and the male taken to the operational room for further enquiries.”
