Philippi Police have found the body of missing Meghan Cremer, 30, after an alleged confession was made revealing she was strangled or choked to death.
The breakthrough comes just days after three men were arrested for being in possession of Meghan's white Toyota Auris, which had been reported stolen.
Meghan's body was found just after 1am on Thursday after an intense investigation by detectives at Philippi Police Station.
The Daily Voice can reveal that one of the suspects had allegedly told cops where Meghan's body was.
Farms in the Schaapkraal community were searched.
But it was only until one of the suspect's carried out a "pointing out session" with police that the body was found along a sand mine on a farm in Philippi.
A source close to the investigation reveals Meghan was still fully dressed when her body was found and had been strangled or choked.
Police have yet to reveal the motive and what took place during the final hours of her death.
The trio, Jeremy Sias, Charles Daniels, and Siraaj Jaftha is expected to make an appearance at the Athlone Magistrate’s Court on Thursday on charges relating to being in possession of Meghan's car.
One of the suspect's aged 27, will now face a murder charge.
The name of the man will only be revealed once he officially makes an appearance in court.
One of the men is also an alleged member of the Six Bob gang whose terrain is mainly in Pelican Park.
Meghan, who was an avid horse rider, worked at Woodstock Bakery with one of her siblings and was last seen on August 3 as she was leaving her home in Rietvlei, Philippi just after 6pm.
It has also been revealed that Meghan’s credit card was used in Muizenberg and Strandfontein over the weekend.
Police spokesperson, Captain FC Van Wyk said: "Our investigation and search operation led us to a sand mine on a Philippi farm this morning at around 1am where the body of the missing person was found.
"One of the suspects, the 27 year old male will also be charged for murder."
