Atletico Madrid announced the signing of AC Milan
striker Nicola Kalinic on Thursday on a three-year deal for a
reported 15 million euros.
The Croatian, 30, who was sent home by his country during the group
stage of the World Cup after refusing to come on as a substitute,
will fight with Antoine Griezmann and Diego Costa for a place in the
side.
"Kalinic is a powerful striker with very good aerial play and has
accumulated great experience in European football," said Atletico in
a statement.
Kalinic, who has also played for Blackburn Rovers and Fiorentina,
scored six goals in 42 appearances for Milan last season.
