The Lions want to run with ball in hand when they host the Stormers at Ellis Park on Saturday.
After beating the Reds 27-20 in Joburg to claim their first win of the season last weekend, coach Ivan van Rooyen is hoping captain Elton Jantjies and his teammates can turn on the style when they host log leaders the Stormers.
Van Rooyen says: “We need some continuity on attack... the conditions were wet though and the Reds are a disruptive team.
“But we need to get momentum going; it’s maybe not enough time spent together.”

But if the Lions struggled in the set pieces and also on attack, they did show improvement in defence. In Buenos Aires in their first match against the Jaguares, they missed 37 tackles and improved to missing only 12 against the Reds.
The Stormers, though, will be their toughest test to date.
