Arsenal chiefs are backing new coach Unai Emery to make the Gunners genuine Premier League title contenders again.
Emery has revitalised the club since taking over from Arsene Wenger at the start of the season, leading them on a 16-match unbeaten run ahead of Sunday’s trip to Bournemouth.
Head of football Raul Sanllehi says of Emery’s gees: “It’s contagious. In a good way.
“The feedback I got from people who had worked with Unai was incredible.”
CEO Vinai Venkatesham adds: “This is a club that hasn’t won the Premier League for a long time and hasn’t won the Champions League.
“All I can tell you is, I believe we can get there. But I’ll only be able to prove that to you when the trophies are on the table.”
