Kwaad Arsenal fans slammed new captain Granit Xhaka for Manchester United’s opening goal in Monday night’s 1-1 Premier League draw.
Xhaka, a regular scapegoat of the Gunners support, made himself even more unpopular when he ducked under Scott McTominay goalbound shot just before half time at Old Trafford.
In an ironic twist, Xhaka could then be seen telling his teammates to keep their heads following Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s equaliser, having earlier ducked his.
Aubameyang’s strike just before the hour was initially ruled offside but stood after a VAR check with both teams lacking sharpness in the final third.
One fan said: “Captain Granit Xhaka ducked.”

Another felt other players were also at fault for conceding, saying: “Two players bottled the challenge for the ball on the edge of their area then Xhaka ducked under the shot. Well done lads – very brave.”
Arsenal moved up to fourth in the league with 12 points, while United are 10th with nine points.

It’s the worst start to a season in 30 years by the Red Devils, but under-fire coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists they aren’t as bad are people are making them out to be.
He says: “We can talk about performance but it’s results that matter. You can talk about results, I can talk about six out of seven good performances.
“West Ham, we know, was below par [losing 2-0] but it wasn’t as bad as you lot made it out to be.”
