The PSL champions of the 2019/20 season will score a whopping R15m in prize money.
On Wednesday, league chairman Irvin Khoza made the announcement that the winners of the top-flight will get a 50 percent raise on the jackpot, which has been the same for the last 10 seasons.
Khoza says: “The stakes are going to be even higher.
“The PSL champion will this season earn a whopping R15m.
“This is a 50 percent increase on the current prize money of R10m.

“The sponsorship and PSL had to crunch the numbers to ensure that this is possible.”
Cape Town City begin their quest for a maiden title on August 3, when they hit the road to Polokwane to face Baroka.
PSL newcomers Stellenbosch kick off their top-flight adventure against Chippa United with home advantage.
The league have Stellies playing at Coetzenburg Stadium in their debut match, after hosting all their games at the Idas Valley Sports Grounds to date.
