The Lions will be without captain Warren Whiteley when they host the Stormers at Ellis Park on Saturday.
Whiteley, who has had his injury woes in the last few seasons, will miss the match because of kidney stones.
To make matters worse for the Joburg team, they are also sweating on the fitness of flyhalf Elton Jantjies, who is ill.
And wing Courtnal Skosan knows that even with their big names, they are in for a tough encounter.
