The Stormers are peaking at the right time according to loose-forward Jaco Coetzee.
With the Super Rugby playoffs around the corner, coach Robbie Fleck’s side is still at the bottom of the South African Conference.
But they are only six points behind log leaders the Jaguares and with the Lions coming to Newlands on Saturday, coach Robbie Fleck’s team know that another win in this encounter will boost their chances of making it to the playoffs.
With three matches left to play, the Stormers know it’s do-or-die time for them.
Having played to a draw against the Crusaders and beating the Highlanders last weekend, Coetzee believes they are hitting their straps at the right time.

He explains: “We can’t afford to make mistakes, it’s crunch time now.
“We have to play our best cards if we want to play in the quarterfinal, it is important to win every game.”
He adds: “We’re almost at the end of Super Rugby now and having found each other now is perfect timing.
“We aren’t in a bad position, there is a lot of hope for us to go through.
“Things are working for us now and we’re sticking to the plan we have and it works.
“We were a new team [at the start of the campaign and we had to find each other.
“It’s nice to have gone through that dip and it’s time to climb that ladder now.

“We don’t have any other option but to win - I don’t want to sound windgat, but our backs are against the wall and we have to win.
“You don’t want to miss out on the playoffs, we’ve worked hard since November last year for this and we can’t just give up now.”
