Cape Town Blitz will look to bounce back from defeat for the first time in this year’s Mzansi Super League when they face the Nelson Mandela Bay Giants in Port Elizabeth on Tuesday night at 7 pm.
Having had their unbeaten start ended by neighbours Paarl Rocks at Boland Park on Sunday, captain Farhaan Behardien is confident his team can march on.
After five matches, Blitz still tops the log.
And Behardien says: “We will lick our wounds and put it [the result] to bed as quickly as we can.
“Fortunately, we have won four from five and at the halfway mark, we are happy with our performance thus far.”
While they want to overcome the second-placed Giants tonight, Behardien already eyeing revenge on Rocks in next week’s return match at Newlands.
He adds: “It [the defeat] definitely makes the return match a lot more enticing.
“A Friday night game at Newlands is generally a good crowd, I am sure we will have some good battles for that game.”
