Bafana Bafana… eish.
South Africa crashed out of the Cosafa Cup to Madagascar on penalties on Sunday. They now compete in the plate division of the competition in Polokwane. But most fans could care less.
Stuart Baxter’s boys wasted chance after chance – same old, same old, hey?
And after a goalless draw, they fell in the shootout and the less said about Luther Singh’s kick the better.
This isn’t the first time it’s happened, as I remember Bafana doing the same under Shakes Mashaba a few years ago.
But Baxter must take responsibility as well because he selected a team playing together for the first time then only had them in camp for a week.
Many of the players had been on holiday for a week or more and with footballers, even a week off makes them rusty.
All this has done is put more pressure on Baxter and his future.
