Parow NTK proved that they are the undoubted kings of the promotion/relegation tussle.
Harrekwas to surrender their place in Super League A, lock Brandon Grant and his teammates were again locked in a battle to maintain their status as a top-flight club.
Now for NTK, it wasn’t an easy season.
In fact, they only tasted victory once this year - against a Primrose team that found life even tougher in the Super League.
With the Roses relegated to Super League B, NTK had to fight off Bellville, who was looking for a return to the top league.
The SLB outfit entered the match with momentum on their side, having lost only four matches this season.

But the gap between SLA teams and that of SLB became clear early on in the match, with Parow sprinting to a 19-8 lead at the break.
Bellville, though, were never going to throw in the towel with the prize of promotion in the offing and fought back well to take the score to 29-18 at the end of the match.
Despite their comeback, the Bellvillites will once again be playing in SLB next season, with NTK narrowly securing top-flight rugby for next season.
It wasn’t the only Super League promotion/relegation showdown to take place at City Park last weekend.

Hands & Heart will be playing in Super League B next season after beating Young Peoples 34-20.
Having opened a 22-5 lead at the break, the Rainbows simply blew away their opponents in the first half before adding 12 more points to cruise home.
After finishing regular season at the top of Super League C, only losing one match in the process, the Rainbows deserve their shot at a tougher league.
And that’s the final whistle for this season’s club league action.
