Q
Dear Auntie Pearl, I’m so glad that summer is over, can you believe it?
I know everyone smaaks the warm weather more than the cold winter, but not me.
Why? Because I just sweat so much!
It’s totally embarrassing, and I even smell bad.
The smell is gross from my shirts, I can’t seem to get the pong out when I wash them.
What can I do?
From Mr. Smelly.

Shame, man, Mr. Smelly, we can all understand why you are looking for some pearls of wisdom regarding your problem.
Many people have sweat problems.
Eish, even Auntie knows what it’s like when it’s too hot and the sweat breaks out.
And then the more you stress about sweating, the more you sweat!
There’s not much you can do about that, except look at your diet and fitness, but even this is no guarantee to solve your problem.
But what we can do something about is your clothes and the smell.
One possible answer is sommer lekker cheap: baking soda.
Simply add a cup of baking soda to your washing!
You can also try and add half a cup of vinegar, it helps with the smell and also makes your clothes nice and soft.
Try soaking your clothes in salt water overnight, and then throw them in a regular wash to get them clean again.
If none of this works to get the smell out of your shirts, you might have to add some chlorine bleach – just be careful because this can damage clothes, so don’t add it to your delicates or colour items.
A last tip: Wash your stinky clothes separate from the rest of your washing. You mos don’t want to have all your clothes smell!
