Two Bonteheuwel dads were gunned down on their way to work in Epping on Tuesday.
A large crowd gathered at Gunner’s Circle after Brandon Goodall, 25, was shot and killed and his friend, Alec Williams, 21, was rushed to hospital.
According to a witness, Brandon and three of his friends were driving to the Epping Market shortly before 5am when a black VW Golf drove behind them and the occupants started to open fire on Brandon’s turquoise Opel Corsa.

“Shots were fired and Brandon and the guy in the passenger seat behind him were hit. The shooters drove ahead of him and then two got out and kept shooting.”
Brandon’s father, Isaac, 51, says he was at home asleep when he heard the news and the family ran over the bridge to see what had happened.
“They leave early every morning to go to the market. They pack fruit and sell it for an Indian man. We don’t know why they were shot because they are not gangsters,” Isaac says.

Brandon, who has a one-year-old daughter, is unmarried.
Alec’s father, Marc, 49, says his son was shot four times and taken to Tygerberg Hospital for treatment.
“I phoned the hospital and they say he is okay. Alec has a son and I am heartbroken,” says Marc.
“When I got there I could not believe what I was seeing. Mr Goodall came to me to comfort me. As parents we are stukkend. I don’t know why they did it, but they are not gangsters.”
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana, says Pinelands police are now investigating a murder case.
“A 25-year-old man was shot and fatally wounded at about 4.55am in Epping. According to information the victim and his passenger were shot at while driving by suspects in another vehicle,” says Rwexana.
“The victim died due to his injuries while the other man was wounded and transported to hospital for treatment. No one has been arrested so far.”
