Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the murder of a man during the early hours of Thursday in Kewtown.
Heartless skelms stole his car battery and radio before cops arrived on the scene.

Residents say the man was shot several times and crashed his VW Polo into a park in Eland Street.
A 35-year-old mother, who asked not to be named, says they heard several gunshots shortly after 4am.
“We are unsure of what happened before the shooting, but it happened near Block 5,” she says.
“The gangsters in this area have been shooting and some people say he was unlucky and got caught in crossfire, but we also know that if you drive in Kewtown at that time of the morning the gangsters may see you as a threat or a target to be robbed.
“When the police came he was still lying inside the car because he crashed it and they told us that he is from
Pinelands.”
The mom says shortly before police arrived, skelms stole the car battery and radio.
“They went to the car and took the battery and the radio. Then they closed the bonnet and left.
“I don’t know if they took anything else, but the car was standing there the whole morning and just before 7am the forensics people took his body away.
“The windows in the front were shot out and he was a young coloured guy.”
Another resident says he is worried about motorists becoming easy targets in the gang-infested area.
“This was now early in the morning, but a lot of people use this street as a short-cut during peak hour traffic. Police should have patrols here during those times,” the man says.
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana, confirms the matter and says police are looking for the shooters.
“A murder case has been opened for investigation after police discovered a body of a 38-year-old man with gunshot wounds to
his upper body in Kewtown,” she says.
“According to information at 4am police attended to the complaint. Upon their arrival they found the victim who was declared dead on the scene.
“Detectives are on the scene combing for clues with no arrests so far.”
