The 58-year-old man who allegedly lured six girls to his home where he raped them and spoiled them with gifts and money is selling the premises for R1 million.
The property in Dieman Road, Grassy Park, boasts three bedrooms including a separate entrance and is being sold for R1 050 000.
When the Daily Voice contacted the agents yesterday, they said they were unaware of Gordon Lewis’ alleged crimes.
The agent, who asked not to be identified, said they would now consider stopping the sale of the 452 square-metre property but were not in a position to comment further.
Lewis is facing 16 charges relating to the rape and sexual assault of six girls between the ages of eight and 14 years old.
Prosecutors are set to prove Lewis allegedly lured the girls from their homes in Manenberg to his house.
The house is currently being occupied by friends of Lewis, according to sources.
Lewis, who is divorced and has no children of his own, was arrested in September by detectives from Wynberg Family Violence and Sexual Offences Unit Police Station.
He worked for the Milnerton Refinery and used to work in Dubai on oil rigs before turning to South Africa.
Lewis allegedly gained the trust of vulnerable children in Manenberg while dating a woman in the same community.
He would allegedly allow children to drive in his car and invite them to his home for the weekend or school holidays.
