The son of a slain drug dealer has survived being shot in the head.
Mogamat “Zing Boy” Davids, the son of Kenneth “Kong” Davids, of Bonteheuwel, was thought to be dead on Monday morning.
Police say he was approached by an unknown gunman who shot him once in the head before fleeing on foot.
The 23-year-old was found lying on his back in Oxford Street, Woodstock, blood streaming from his head.

It is not the first time Zing Boy has survived a shooting.
He was also wounded on the day his father, Kong, 55, was shot three times while standing in front of the Bonteheuwel Post Office in Jakkalsvlei Avenue on 15 November 2015.
Kong made headlines in the Daily Voice before, confessing that he was a drug merchant after police raided his home.
The police search at his Jakkalsvlei Avenue property was one of many, but Kong remained min gespin.

He was also once caught red-handed by cops with a stash of drugs which was hidden in his underpants in Mitchells Plain.
After his death, Kong’s two sisters claimed he was a changed man; he had apparently embraced the Lord and attended the JCI Church in Bonteheuwel.
According to police sources, Zing Boy is a suspected member of the Junky Funky Kidz and is alleged to be merting at his father’s house.
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana, said no arrests have been for the attempted murder.
“Woodstock police are investigating a case of attempted murder
following a shooting that occurred on Monday morning about 9.30am
in Oxford Street, Woodstock,” Rwexana explains.
“An unidentified man was shot and wounded by an unidentified suspect who is yet to be arrested.
“The victim was transported to a medical facility for treatment.
