An eyewitness in the murder case of Scarborough surfer David Wolfromm has been shot dead.
The body of the pregnant mom from Ocean View was found on a veldjie on Sunday with a gunshot wound to the eye just four days before she was due to give birth to her second child.
The heartbroken father of Jocelyn Claasen, 27, says the last time he saw her was at about 1am on Sunday when she made coffee for her mother, Charlotte Claasen, 46.
SILENCED: Jocelyn Claasen was due to give birth this week
Randall Warries, 47, says the nine-month pregnant single mom was a state witness in Wolfromm’s murder trial.
In May last year, the father was surfing at Witsand beach and upon returning to his car, a silver Nissan X-Trail, he was attacked by two men.
He was shot and loaded in the boot of the car.
Jocelyn and her friend told cops the men gave them a lift but they became aware someone was in the boot and told the hijackers they wanted to get out.
The men refused and, while arguing with the women, crashed into a tree.
She said they jumped out and fled down a dirt road towards a reservoir, where they hid in the bushes.
They saw the suspects set the car on fire, with the victim still inside.

“Jocelyn wasn’t part of that hijacking, she gave a statement to police,” says Randall.
“I can confirm that she was a state witness, but we do not know if this is the reason why she was murdered.”
The hartseer father says he last saw his daughter at about 1am on Sunday.
“ Sy het nog vir haar ma koffie gemaak en toe loop sy,” says Randall.
“I don’t know why she went out that time of the night but I always warned her to be careful.
“People came to wake us and said she was lying dead behind the hokkies.
“ Hulle het haar een skoot in die kop geskiet en dit lyk as of sy terug baklei het.”

Police spokesperson, Captain FC van Wyk, says police were called to the scene in Andromeda Way at 4.40am.
No arrests have been made so far.
Randall says Jocelyn, who has a five-year-old son Enrico, was excited for her new baby.
“ Sy het nie gewerk nie maar sy het na my huis gekyk,” he says.
“Her son now has to grow up without a mother, she was very excited about the new baby who was due on 6
February.
“She didn’t know whether it was a boy or a girl, she wanted it to be a surprise.”
He also had a message for her killers: “ Die mense wat dit gedoen het moet weet, die Here slaap nie.”
