A pensioner has come forward claiming Muneeb Walker from Walker Civils has also conned her out of money.
The Kensington woman says she paid Walker R4000 to pave her yard, but he never did.
Last week, Walker admitted to taking R3000 from Mitchells Plain mother Rashieda Stober, 52, to tar her yard but failed to deliver.
On Thursday, Pauline Gain contacted the Daily Voice to speak out after reading about Rashieda’s woes.
Pauline says Walker came around to her home in 14th Avenue, Kensington, asking if she was interested in having work done on her property.
“When he came to speak to me in December 2017, we had an agreement that he’d pave the front yard and the sidewalk,” Pauline says.
‘INCOMPLETE JOB’: Woman’s yard in Kensington
“I also told him that two months prior I was scammed out of R2000 by someone else.”
The pensioner had just retired and wanted to renovate her home, her niece Fazline Sedien explains.
“My aunt gave him a deposit of R2000 and he came the next day to throw the stones and only worked for two hours.
“The agreement was that she also had to pay for materials and she gave another R2000,” Fazline says.
She says Walker promised to return the next day but never did.
“We tried calling him throughout the year and he kept making excuses, saying he couldn’t come as his mother was sick in hospital,” says Fazline.
But according to Walker, he owes Pauline nothing.
“I completed the job. Someone worked there before I did and I came to fix their mess and make it look neat and tidy.
“I threw stones, I placed in two rows of bricks,” Walker said.
Walker promised to send pictures he took of the completed job, but none were received by on Sunday evening.
