Two people have been killed and three wounded in three separate incidents in Mitchells Plain in less than 24 hours.
A young man, only identified as Ashley, 27, was apparently shot multiple times in Waaihoek Street in Tafelsig just before 11pm on Monday while walking home.

His family were too traumatised to speak at length on Tuesday, saying they were busy identifying his body at the mortuary.
Police spokesperson, Siyabulela Malo, says cops have made no arrests: “The circumstances surrounding a shooting incident that occurred last night in Waaihoek Street, Tafelsig, Mitchells Pain at 11.50pm where a 27-year-old man was shot and fatally wounded are under investigation.”
He said officers found the victim with gunshot wounds to his body and he died on the scene.
“A case of murder has been opened for investigation with no arrests made so far.
“Police detectives are following up on possible leads to bring perpetrators to book.” Cops were later called to Dassie Street in Eastridge where they found that one man had been shot and killed and another wounded.

The incident is allegedly gang-related.
Less than an hour later, two Somalian citizens were shot and wounded in the Town Centre shopping centre.
Videos of family members carrying the wounded men to a nearby hospital went viral on social media.
