In a dramatic twist, two of the men accused of murdering Meghan Cremer had abandoned their bail application at the Athlone Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
Jeremy Sias, 27, and Charles Daniels,34, indicated they would be abandoning their bail application after a legal aid lawyer came on board to represent the two men.
The two men will be back in the dock on October 16.
Meanwhile, Shiraaz Jaftha, 35, has chosen to continue with his bail application and is expected back in court on September 11.
All the accused’s previous records were also read out in court.
They faced 100 women dressed in back from the organisation SA Women Fight Back who drafted more than 56 000 signatures to oppose bail for the suspects.
Meghan's body was found on August 8 on a sand mine after an alleged confession made by Sias.
Sias is now the only one facing a murder charge.
Meghan had been strangled to death and a rope was found around her neck.
The trio has also been charged with the possession of stolen property for Meghan's white Toyota Auris.
Meghan disappeared on August 3 after leaving her home in Rietvlei, Philippi.
