Cops are hunting for skelms who may be behind two robberies at two malls in less than a week in Mitchell’s Plain.
The latest incident took place at the Watergate Mall in Lentegeur, Mitchell’s Plain soon after staff at the Butcher Shoppe opened their doors on Friday just after 9am.
Cops say the four armed robbers entered the shop and demanded cash from the cashiers before fleeing the scene.
No-one was injured during the incident.
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana explains: “Lentegeur Police responded to a complaint of a business robbery that had occurred at a Butchery in Watergate Mall.

“According to reports four unknown men entered the shop and pointed the cashiers with firearms and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash .
“No shots were fired. No persons were injured.
“Police are investigating a case of business robbery and appeal to anyone with more information about this incident to contact the investigating officer Detective Constable Jacquen Paulsen on 082 411 2382.”
On July 31, brazen robbers walked into the Cell C Store in Westgate Mall, Mitchell’s Plain and demanded cellphones and cellphone gadgets.
The duo allegedly also took cellphones belonging to customers and fled in a white Toyota Hilux.
No-one was wounded during the incident.
