Cape Town City winger Surprise Ralani will be keeping something up his sleeve when Kaizer Chiefs come to the Mother City this Saturday.
Ralani returns from an early-season muscle injury against Golden Arrows a month ago to a team that are on a high after reaching the MTN8 final for the second season in a row.
And now the 30-year-old is keen to contribute.
He tells the Daily Voice: “It was hard to sit by and watch the guys play for the last few weeks while I was injured, but I’m really happy with the way they all pulled together and got some important results.
“I look forward to being back now and contributing more to the team’s performances. I’ve worked hard to overcome this injury, so I feel confident again.
“Saturday will be an important game for us. We need another win in the league, this is a good opportunity to climb up the log and keep momentum going into the MTN8 final.”.
Chiefs are yet to win in the PSL this term after five games and will be up for a fight to break their duck.
But City defender Ebrahim Seedat is keen on piling more misery on Amakhosi after the Citizens lost 2-0 last season despite dominating the match.
The leftback says: “We remember last season facing Chiefs at home didn’t go according to plan. We completely dominated them in that game and we will definitely look to do that again.
“If we score one or two goals, we know that we are capable of keeping another clean sheet, that’s a recipe to win any football match.”
