Pitso Mosimane says his manne need to learn to “play in the jungle” after Mamelodi Sundowns were knocked out of the Caf Champions League at the group stage on Tuesday night.
Downs were held to a goalless draw at home by Guinean side Horoya, failing to win the game that would have given them runners-up spot in Group C.
Once again Sundowns failed to make the most of their chances.
Sibusiso Vilakazi wasted a one-on-one opportunity after being put into the clear by Gaston Sirino.
And Pitso says: “What we could have done differently was to convert 10 percent of the chances that we created and learn how to play in the jungle.
"These are the lessons learned for us and it is the way it is.
“We must be realistic about our situation and don’t cloud ourselves with a lot of things that are going to be said. We must be clear in our minds to be able to learn from this experience."
The Brazilians now need to shake off the disappointment as they prepare for their MTN8 semifinal second leg against Cape Town City this Sunday.
