South African Raven Klaasen and his New Zealand partner Michael Venus fell short of reaching their second successive Wimbledon men’s doubles final appearance as they lost 6-4 6-7 7-6 6-4 to Colombian pair Robert Farah and Juan Sebastian Cabal on Thursday.
South Africa, however, still have representation at the All England Club in the Wheelchair tennis competition. Kgothatso Montjane reached the women’s semifinal round with an impressive comeback in beating Sabine Ellebrock from Germany, winning 6-7 6-1 6-2 earlier in the day.
