Tottenham playmaker Christian Erisken may have played his final game for Jose Mourinho’s manne on Saturday.
According to reports in Italy, the 27-year-old Dane agreed a four-and-a-half year deal with Inter Milan and wants to move in the current January transfer window.
Eriksen will be a free agent at the end of the season and had to lower his salary demands from £8.5m to £6.5m per year in order to press ahead with the move.
If Tottenham don’t sanction Eriksen’s departure this month, it is anticipated that the Denmark international will still sign for Inter at the end of the season.
Inter’s Prem business doesn’t stop there and the Italians are reportedly also interested in signing Manchester United defender Ashley Young, with the 34-year-old being offered an 18-month deal.
Young last week rejected a year extension on his Old Trafford deal.
Meanwhile, both Spurs and United are keen on bringing in Portuguese midfielders this month.
Tottenham will announce the loan signing of 21-year-old Gedson Fernandes, who can also operate further forward, early this week on a 18-month deal from Benfica.

United are less advanced on their move for £60m-rated Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon.
Arsenal, meanwhile, are considering a loan move for AC Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu as Mikel Arteta looks to increase the depth of his squad.
