Test cricket is not for sissies according to Proteas legend Herschelle Gibbs and ex-England ace Kevin Pietersen.
This after England wicketkeeper Jos Buttler was overhead calling Vernon Philander a “f****** knobhead” in the final session of the Test at Newlands on Tuesday.
England ultimately won the match by 189 runs, but it was the war of words between Buttler and Philander that caught the attention of fans on social media.
According to Gibbs, the Gentleman’s Game isn’t an audition for a church choir.

He wrote on Twitter: “People questioning Joss Buttler giving Vernon a spray, international cricket isn’t an audition for the church choir #bigboypants.”

With England having tied the four-match series 1-1 with the win, both teams will go all-out to take a series lead in the next Test which starts at St George’s Park on January 16.
