Cape Town City boss Eric Tinkler welcomed the upcoming Fifa break as he looks to reboot his team performances.
City have had an inconsistent start to the campaign, reaching the MTN8 final but have struggled in the PSL – winning just one of their opening five matches, leaving them in 11th on the log with six points.
Despite just one defeat, they have also played to three draws, with Saturday’s 1-1 stalemate with Orlando Pirates at Cape Town Stadium being the most recent.

During a shaky first-half display, City conceded in the 14th minute when Happy Jele headed a Vincent Pule cross home as the hosts’ defence watched on.
But they came out firing after the break, with Mdu Mdantsane winning and converting a 54th-minute penalty after his strike had hit a Pirates player’s hand.
And coach Tinkler reckons: “We were exceptional in the second half, but we need to talk about the first half, where we struggled.
“We conceded a silly goal, in my opinion – didn’t attack the ball.
“We’ll take the point and go into this break fairly content with what we’ve achieved.
“We aren’t where we want to be and after the break we will have to recoup those points we want.”
In Polokwane, meanwhile, Stellenbosch continued their unbeaten start to the campaign with a 1-1 draw at Baroka.
Ashley du Preez scored the opener after 10 minutes, but their hosts hit back through Bernard Bobete 10 minutes later.
Stellies, though, failed to find a winner in stormy conditions and lie third with 12 points from six matches.
