Harry Maguire has called on his Manchester United to be more “arrogant” as they look to improve on a poor start to their Premier League campaign.
The Reds Devils go into the international break on five points from their opening four games, having one just once with two draws and a loss.
And after letting slip a goal-lead at Southampton on Sunday and failing to find a winner against the Saints’ 10 men in the second half, Maguire says they must show more confidence.
The world’s most expensive defender says: “We are playing attacking football but don’t get me wrong we can still improve a lot especially on the ball.
“We gave the ball away far too much especially towards the end of the first half and in the second half we need to improve on that and show arrogance on the ball and be confident on the ball.

“We’re Man United and we want to control games. In the last 20 of the first and in the first 20 of the second we didn’t really control the game and we got punished for that.
“Probably 15 minutes each side of half time [Southampton] had the better of the play and they’ve come away with a point.”
Meanwhile, the Red Devils are sweating on the fitness of star man Paul Pogba.
The midfield ace was pulled from the France squad yesterday after suffering an ankle injury against the Saints.
The World Cup winner was replaced in coach Didier Deschamps’ squad by Arsenal’s Matteo Guendouzi.
