Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will be plotting the downfall of his countrymen in the Champions League round of 16 in February next year.
This after the Premier League log leaders and five-time Champions League winners were on Monday drawn against Germany giants Bayern Munich, who have also been crowned European champs five times, in the next round of the competition.
The Reds weren’t the only English team drawn against Bundesliga opposition, with Tottenham set to face the German league’s leaders Borussia Dortmund and Prem champions Manchester City coming up against Schalke.
The odd English team out is Manchester United, who will cross swords with French giants Paris St Germain.
Holders Real Madrid, meanwhile, face Ajax Amsterdam in the last 16, while the clash between Atletico Madrid and Juventus is another mouthwatering match for soccer fans.
The first leg of the round of 16 matches will take place on 12 and 13 February and the following week of the 19th and 20th.
Meanwhile, in the Europa League last-32 draw, Arsenal and Chelsea were drawn against BATE Borisov and Malmo respectively. First legs will be played on February 14 with the return on the 21st.
