With Manchester City needing to beat Tottenham in Monday night’s 10 pm Premier League clash to go back to the top of the table, City boss Pep Guardiola says this season’s title race is as tight as ever.
City won the league with a record 100 points last term, but Guardiola knows it’s not going to be that easy this time around with it being so tight at the top.
The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss says: “Two points difference in five, six teams. It’s strong.
“You see line-up for Tottenham. Tottenham are always there.
“They can’t invest because they built an incredible stadium but it’s a top side.
“Last season we did really well in both games, but they are a top team.
“They have a young team, good keeper, striker, everything to be there [at the top].”
