Cape Town City boss Benni McCarthy slammed the professionalism of his players, saying they are not doing their jobs.
For the third time this season, McCarthy watched from the sidelines as his team threw away the lead in a 3-3 draw at SuperSport United on Saturday.
City had the worst possible start, as Sipho Mbule pounced on a defensive mix-up to race through and score inside five minutes.
But midfielder Thabo Nodada announced his return to the team with a clinical finish as City hit back four minutes later and they were ahead after 18 minutes thanks to striker Kermit Erasmus after a counterattack.
However, after having just taking control of the match, they allowed the league’s leading goalscorer Bradley Grobler to equalise five minutes later.
Nodada, though, had his coach beaming with pride when he scored with a brilliant sidefooted effort in the 55th minute.

But all the work was undone when Thamsanqa Gabuza posted up on Abbubaker Mobara before chesting down the ball and spinning to shoot into the back of the net.
It was too much for McCarthy after the final whistle, who says: “I’m disappointed. We have to apply ourselves a lot better.
“We had them on the ropes and we allowed them back.

“The players are very unprofessional. When you get a chance to beat a team, you have to beat them. You don’t win or lose because you like me or I like you, it’s your job. You get paid to play. Paid to defend, paid to score goals. And today I just think we didn’t do our jobs.”
