Stuart Baxter is finished en klaar with South African football.
Earlier this month, the Brit walked away from the Bafana Bafana job after guiding South Africa to an Afcon quarterfinal exit.
It was the second time that Baxter quit the national men’s team, his first stint in charge back in 2004/05.
Baxter also coached Kaizer Chiefs on his initial return to SA football in 2012/13.
He then moved to Turkey before taking over SuperSport in 2016 before taking the Bafana job again.
But after an ugly fallout with Safa, Baxter says he is pretty much siek en sat of the SA game following links to the vacant Orlando Pirates job after Micho’s shock move to Zamalek at the weekend.
After his post-Afcon technical report was allegedly leaked by Safa last week, Baxter told the Sowetan: “There are many things in South Africa that are very unique and in the bigger scheme are holding the country back and when you address those things then you get attacked.”
He added in Soccer Laduma of the Bucs job: “There’s absolutely no substance to rumours linking me with the Pirates job, even though I respect them as a football club.
“Even if I was to come back to South Africa at some point then it wouldn’t be now."
