Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson has warned Arsenal they are just getting better ahead of their 7.30pm Premier League showdown on Saturday.
The Reds go to the Emirates as joint leaders of the league – level with Manchester City on 26 points, but below them due to an inferior goal difference of eight.
Their fourth-placed hosts, though, are just four points off the pace and can threaten Jurgen Klopp’s manne.
But after a strong start and still unbeaten in the Prem, Brazilian shotstopper Alisson is backing his team to come out on top.
And the £66.8m-man believes that the Merseysiders have the chops to go all the way and challenge City for their title come the end of the season.
Ahead of their Gunners test, he says: “It’s a really important season for us - one of high expectations.
“There are already high expectations on us, given our quality.
We have demonstrated this with only one defeat in the Champions League and we are unbeaten in the Premier League, having achieved important results.
“So I definitely believe that we’re on the right track, but it’s too early to get excited. We have to keep our feet on the ground.
“We know it’s going to be really difficult this season, given the quality of the other teams. We know how difficult it is to win this league.
“We have to fight a great deal, taking it game by game and step by step to do everything right and continue on the trajectory we’re on at the moment.”
The Gunners come into the match having beaten Blackpool 2-1 on Wednesday night to advance to the League Cup quarterfinals.
Midfielder Matteo Guendouzi was red-carded and will miss the Reds’ visit.
