Burnley are unlikely to send Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater back from his season’s-loan after damaging his ankle in a fight.
This after Drinkwater was called in by Clarets boss Sean Dyche on Monday for a meeting to decide the former Leicester Premier League champion’s punishment.
The 29-year-old Chelsea midfielder suffered torn ankle ligaments in the fight outside Manchester’s Chinawhite club early last Sunday, and is expected to be off the pitch for at least four weeks.

The £35m-player allegedly approached Scunthorpe United and Bafana Bafana defender Kgosi Ntlhe’s girlfriend, causing a scuffle to break out.
Bouncers then threw him out the club and he was then attacked by at least six men, with reports claiming that his assailants jumped on his leg.
