While Mamelodi Sundowns will be looking to chase down Orlando Pirates in their hunt for the PSL title, SuperSport United’s Dean Furman has his own motivation ahead of Wednesday’s Tshwane derby.
Downs are currently six points behind log leaders Orlando Pirates, but with three games in hand and can close that gap to just three points at Loftus Versfeld when the game starts at 7.30pm.
For Furman and SuperSport, who are in sixth place, winning the title seems a bit far-fetched.
Instead, it’s a spot in coach Stuart Baxter’s Bafana squad that is driving Furman and his teammates.

The Bafana veteran explains: “This is an interesting time now.
“Everyone has these remaining games to prove their worth, show the coach that they are ready to be in that squad. There’s a carrot dangling for everyone.
“There’s something great at the end of these games.
“Everyone is going to be trying to put their best foot forward and be on their best form to make sure that they are in the Afcon squad.”
In Wednesday's other clash, Highlands Park host Free State Stars at 7.30pm.
