Dillyn Leyds was the big winner at the Western Province Rugby awards on Tuesday evening.
The fullback-cum-wing walked away with the union’s Most Valuable Award for 2019.
He wasn’t the only winner on the night, with World Cup winner Herschel Jantjies, who had a super breakthrough season, winning the Players’ Player as well as the Best Back awards on the night.
World Player of the Year Pieter-Steph du Toit again scooped up a trophy, this time being named Best Forward.
As for the up-and-coming stars, lock Salmaan Moerat won the Most Promising Forward Award, with Edwill van der Merwe winning the Most Promising Back.
