The Blitzboks will once again put their bodies on the line to defend their turf with all they have in the Cape Town Sevens this weekend.
Returning to South Africa from Dubai with the first trophy of the season in the bag, forward Dylan Sage says they are still recovering from a gruelling outing in the desert.
But, according to local Cape laaitie Sage, the stage set by the Mother City for this weekend is enough to heal all their physical wounds.
He says: “Cape Town is that one chance we get to play at home, and we need to use that opportunity.
“It is a great event, always a sell-out and the organizers always make sure that there are lots of things keeping the crowds entertained.
“The bodies are sore after Dubai and the long flight home but being welcomed at the airport like we were with a band playing and fans waiting, and then having a good night’s rest at home is more than enough to perk you up again.”

Sage believes it will be important for the Blitzboks to reset after their success in Dubai.
He explains: “We have closed the door on Dubai and will start the week fresh. New challenges await in Cape Town.”
Drawn alongside USA, world champions Fiji and Japan in Pool A, Sage knows it won’t be easy for coach Neil Powell’s men at the Cape Town Stadium.
