Citing commissioner Keith Brown of New Zealand did not feel the need to cite England flyhalf Owen Farrell for his no-arms tackle in the dying minutes of Saturday's Test against South Africa at Twickenham in London.
England scraped home 12-11 against the Springboks who now play three more Tests in November on successive weekends.
Many observers felt that Farrell made an illegal 'no arms' tackle on Springbok midfield replacement Andre Esterhuizen and that a stoppage-time penalty should have been awarded.
However, World Rugby confirmed on Sunday night that Brown had not cited the player nor issued a citing commissioner’s warning.
Owen's shoulder-led no-arms charge in the eyes of the officials did not meet the red card threshold.
As there was no citing arising from the match, it clears Farrell to face the All Blacks when they play England in the second of the November Internationals at Twickenham on Saturday.
