It's a long weekend for some teams in the Super League A.
Others aren’t so lucky.
The action gets underway on Friday when UCT host relegation-threatened NTK at the university’s fields.
Narrowly getting the better of False Bay (24-22) last weekend, Friday’s game should be a much easier encounter for Ikeys as they will look to bag a full house of log points.
As for the Bay, they will face another tough test when they travel to Stellenbosch on Saturday to face defending champions Maties.
False Bay currently top the log with 10 wins from 12 outings and are looking to hand their opponents their first defeat of the year.
Holders Maties are playing catch-up in the middle of the log, having won all of their eight games.
UWC, meanwhile, suffered a narrow 40-38 defeat to Durbell last weekend and will go all-out to return to winning ways when they face Villager away from home.
In the only other fixture on the weekend, SK Walmers host Brackenfell in what promises to be a thrilling clash between two middle-table sides.
With both teams coming off defeats Brackenfell hammered by Maties 55-10 and Walmers going down 36-24 to neighbours Hamiltons in the derby of derbies, they will be hungry to return to winning ways.
