Manchester United are looking for revenge when they host Istanbul Basaksehir in tonight’s Champions League clash at 10pm.
The Red Devils were stunned 2-1 by the Turkish champions in the reverse Group H fixture three weeks ago due to a combination of comically poor defending and wayward finishing.
Despite the defeat, United still top the log on goal difference from Leipzig, who are also on six points.
But coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer knows they can’t afford another slip-up against their visitors.
Of getting a result in this tie, Solskjaer says: “We need at least 10 points to go through, might even need 12 points, so we are going to go in trying to win it and win it well.”
Following a 1-0 win over third-from-bottom West Brom in the Premier League last weekend, there are suggestions that United are struggling against so-called smaller teams.
Not the case according to Solskjaer, who says: “We are trying to develop the squad and the team to become good at all different phases of the game. “[The 3-1 win over] Everton [earlier this month] was the perfect example. The game decides what type of game it becomes, first goal etc.
“It is always decided on moments and we are moving in the right direction.”
