Jurgen Klopp hailed his kids as injury-hit Liverpool sealed top spot in their Champions League Group D on Tuesday night with a 1-0 win over Ajax.
Teenager Curtis Jones scored the winner in the 58th minute when he pounced on a mistake by Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana.
But there were no such problems in goal for Klopp, as 19-year-old Champions League debutant Caoimhin Kelleher saved the day with a number of great stops.
And Klopp says of his keeper: “We needed the natural football-playing ability of Caoimhin and because he’s a really good shotstopper as well.”
The German will have to rely on the Irish laaitie again or Spanish keeper Adrian after first-choice No.1 Alisson was ruled up to two weeks with a hamstring injury.
