All Blacks loose forward Ardie Savea wants to follow in the footsteps of ex-New Zealand superstar Sonny Bill Williams and switch codes.
A rugby league and union star, Williams decided to switch codes again after last year’s World Cup and currently plays for Canadian league team Toronto Wolfpack.

Savea, 26, says: “I want to test myself and see if I can dominate, if I can play the way I do in union in league.
“I’ve seen guys like Sonny do it, how it’s benefited him, and it’s kind of pondered my mind.”
Savea is New Zealand’s incumbent Player of the Year after starring in 2019 and has a contract with the national team until the end of 2021.
He is currently recovering from a serious knee injury and has not played for the Hurricanes in this year’s Super Rugby tournament to date.
