Ajax Cape Town returned to winning ways, while Steenberg United might be kicking themselves after going down to Cape Umoya this past weekend in the GladAfrica Championship.
After losing on the road last week, Ajax bounced back with a 2-1 over Royal Eagles at Cape Town Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The result sees the Urban Warriors climb up to third place in the standings, exactly where they want to be to keep their promotion hopes alive.
Cape Umoya hosted Steenberg in a historic first clash between the two city rivals at Athlone Stadium on Friday.
Steenberg opened the scoring but could not hold on to their lead and Umoya capitalised and won the match 2-1 and snap a three game winless run.
Umoya are now eighth while Steenberg lie 10th on the log.
In this weekend's action, Ajax host Steenberg United at Cape Town Stadium on Saturday in an early 1pm kickoff.
Meanwhile, Cape Umoya will travel to Giyani Stadium to visit Jomo Cosmos on Sunday for a 3.30pm kickoff.
