You have probably noticed that I haven’t been mentioning Chelsea over the last few weeks.
I’ve been sitting back and quietly watching Frank Lampard putting into place what’s turning out to be a top-end competitive side.
You can’t ignore the winning streak that has put the Blues in an excellent Champions League position and a well-deserved top-four place in the Premier League.
While everyone called us a “one-man team” and predicted disaster following Eden Hazard’s departure and a transfer ban, it’s all turning out to be better than last season with what looks like a very bright future.
Yes, Maurizio Sarri achieved good results, but the robotic style was a proper bore, giving way now to a fresh attacking approach with a team littered with youngsters.
The ‘real’ Chelsea is back and while we may not win anything this season, I’m feeling the passion and am proud of the way the boys are playing.
You just need to look at the improvement of certain players to know that we’re on the right track.
Mateo Kovacic and Jorginho came under huge criticism under Sarri and, to be fair, they were little more than average.
Lampard has reshaped the midfield and, for me, there isn’t a better pairing in the Prem.
Some crazy stuff this weekend past, with Leicester burying Southampton and VAR playing its part in creating false results, none more than Arsenal’s ‘winner’ against Palace.
You’ve really got to be a spotty little nerd not to realise that Callum Chambers was the player being fouled?
I suppose you’ve got to say well done to Manchester United for finally showing up for a game it does feel like Norwich’s time is up after a bright start to the season.

Really enjoyed Sunday night’s big one at Anfield.
I know Spurs fans are saying they deserved more out of it, but the truth is (for me) Liverpool were well on top and had it not been for some brilliant goalkeeping, they could have had three or four.
Despite us all knowing that the League Cup is pretty worthless, Wednesday night has a couple of tasty match-ups.
Of course, traditionally, it’s a competition used to give youngsters a run, what the hell are Chelsea gonna do?
The Blues host Man United at the Bridge in the late kickoff while Arsenal travel to Liverpool.
Yeah, decent midweek action to look forward too!
Got to mention the rugby before I go well done to the boys, just squeezed through and a massive final to look forward to on Saturday.
It was a horrible weekend for Cape Town’s legions of MotherHaka’s hahaha, knocked out, then the pain of seeing THEIR OWN COUNTRY going through!
England look great this year and I wouldn’t bet against them. But with the power of the ‘Gwijo Squad’ behind the Boks, you never know!
And by the way, ahead of the questioning, I support the Boks!
