Ajax Cape Town will sit on the sidelines as the PSL kicks off next weekend.
The club on Thursday withdrew their interdict to stop the start of the league in the South Gauteng High Court and are now banking on the court to confirm their 15th position after the PSL were given leave to appeal.
It all looks really bad for Ajax after they conceded a lot of ground in the Ndoro matter.
This week it was also revealed that their Dutch parent club Ajax Amsterdam were considering pulling out of their investment at Ikamva.
And unfortunately now they will have to get on with the business of preparing for life in the NFD.

This has being drawn out for way too long and even if their position is confirmed, that will be way too far down the road for Ajax to play catch-up.
Die kaas is klaar gerasper, as the mense would say.
The PSL will look back at this as a bump in the road if they can enforce arbitrator William Mokhari’s decision to dock Ajax the log points for fielding Tendai Ndoro.
And since their own independent Dispute Resolution Chamber (DRC) had the decision to initially clear Ndoro taken off their hands by the court to give Fifa’s Player Status Committee sole jurisdiction, they can wash their hands of this and move on.
What Ajax must do is go back to basics and do what they do best - produce the best young players in the country.
Then they must learn to win games at home after failing to do so all of last season.
I’m sure we haven’t heard the last of this though, but for Ajax, it’s time to look to the future and that’s in the NFD.
