Even with captain Siya Kolisi out injured, the Stormers have a loose trio combination that strikes fear in opposition teams.
Leading the back three of the scrum is current World Player of the Year Pieter-Steph du Toit.
He is supported by two of the brightest stars on the South African rugby scene - former Junior World Player of the Year Juarno Augustus and the versatile Jaco Coetzee.
It’s a trio that will in all likelihood be named in coach John Dobson’s team on Thursday for Saturday’s clash against the Blues at Newlands.
With Du Toit bringing an engine that never stops, Augustus bringing some powerful ball carries and Coetzee a menace at the breakdown while also being a good ball carrier, the back three all have different attributes.
And that’s what makes them such an impressive unit.

Senior man Du Toit explains: “Both [Augustus and Coetzee are] quality players and they’ve got big futures ahead of them.
“If we can just keep on building, we will have a good season.
“We are completely different players and if you look at the old SA loosies, that’s the way Dobbo is trying to pick his side as well.
“Everyone has to bring something different to the party.”

This specific looseforward combination means Pieter-Steph’s brother, Johan, will in all likelihood play off the bench again.
Having started a couple of games together at the start of the season, Pieter-Steph says: “It’s an unbelievable experience playing together.

“Growing up, we sat at the farm and were talking about playing together.
“For us having the opportunity of playing together is a massive honour, especially for the team we supported growing up.
“I couldn’t be happier about that.”

Dobson will be hoping his loosies can fire this weekend as the Stormers look to up their game on attack.
If they do open up the game, they will need all the respective skills of their ace trio.
