Die ding gaan ruk op Florida Park on Sunday.
Not only will there be an exciting Super League A clash between Tygerberg and Belhar, but the SuperSport Challenge final will also take place in Ravensmead.
There’s no doubt that the Tiere faithful will show up in their hordes to support their team against Belhar.
The interesting thing about this weekend, though, is the possible return of the Brandt twins to Florida Park.
After starring for the Tiere in last season’s Super League A, Enver and Alvin both left for Kimberley where they were scooped up by Griquas.
Playing on the wing, Enver has been one of the stars for Griquas in this campaign, scoring four tries for them in the quarterfinal clash against the EP Kings a few weeks ago.
And despite this being a home game for John Dobson’s Western Province, I am convinced that every time Brandt touches the ball - if he is selected to start - the Tiere faithful will skree for their laaitie with all their might.
Anyway, back to club rugby.
The curtain raiser between Tygerberg and Belhar will also be live on TV and you can bet that the players will go all out to prove that they can play at a higher level in front of the cameras.
Apart from this mouthwatering match, there will only be two other SLA clashes this weekend.
One takes place at Durbanville Sports Club where hosts Durbell will go all out to bag five log points against the struggling Primrose.
Roses are now in the middle of the relegation battle and after losing to UniMil last weekend, they will have to fight hard if they don’t want to be one of the two teams that will be automatically chopped from the league at the end of the season.
In Durbell, though, they have a difficult opponent.
The other match takes place at the Stephen Oval on Saturday where hosts Hamiltons will welcome their neighbours SK Walmers in their derby.
Hammies, currently second on the log - one point behind leaders False Bay, can go to the top if they beat SK.
They would, however, like to do so with a bonus point to give themselves a shot at opening up a gap at the top.
As for SK, they are currently in mid-table safety.
But 11th place isn’t good enough for them and apart from local bragging rights, they will fight tooth and nail to climb the ladder.
