Cape Malay Cooking with Fatima Sydow
Ingredients
4 beef burgers chopped into bite sized pieces
2 tbsp of oil
1 onion, peeled and finely chopped
1 tsp of garlic
Salt to taste
1 tsp of turmeric
1 tbspn of masala
4 chillies
2 cans of baked beans
Fresh coriander
Method
In a large pan, on high heat, stir fry the onions and burger pieces in the oil for 3 minutes.
Next, add the salt, spices, garlic and chillies and a dash of water. Stir fry for 3 minutes.
Next, add the baked beans and cook just for 1 minute. Switch off the heat, stir, add fresh coriander.
Serve with rice, bread or roti.
You can use minced meat or chicken pieces if you wish. Easy, quick, economical.
