Q
Dear Auntie Pearl, I feel like I am living in sin. And when I say sin, I mean it in the worst kind of way.
Sien Auntie, I am in my church’s prayer group and we meet at least three times a week.
There are two other women who are just as active as I am in the church and the group, and I know that at any time there is a meeting I will see at least one of them.
Here’s the problem, and I’m nogal skaam to admit it, but I have vieslike thoughts about these women.
I can’t stop thinking about doing something naughty with them.
I’m married and would obviously never act on my jasgeit, but what must I do? I feel so ashamed that I am having these thoughts, en in die kerk nogal!

Hartjie, lust is a part of the human condition.
Gaan lees maar jou Bybel, it has been around since before the Old Testament, and it’s going to be here until humans are extinct.
So instead of suffering in silence and feeling guilty the whole time, why not face your feelings and accept that you are human?
Go talk to your pastor and discuss your sins in private.
Jy kan maar vir Auntie believe it won’t be the first time he has had to deal with a situation like this.
Sometimes, simply sharing our problems and talking about them to someone who won’t judge us is enough to solve them.
